Substance Abuse

“Follow-up studies with substance abusers often suffer from sample attrition. We have achieved over a 70% response rate for each data wave.”
~Victoria Albright, Project Director

CamBright Research is collaborating with a major university and pharmaceutical firm to conduct a Phase IV study of substance abusers after their exit from a clinical trial for a novel treatment for substance use disorder. The follow-up study is now in its fifth year. Subjects are drawn from across the United States. Each subject is interviewed 3 or 4 times a year. For reasons of privacy and confidentiality, we cannot disclose the study name or specific topic.

Information from the study will be used to characterize the periods of abstinence for 5+ years, examine the biological, psychosocial and environmental factors associated with period of abstinence and relapse, and understand the economic impact of compliance such as adherence and persistence to medication assisted treatments. CamBright principals direct all management activities such as client relations and budgeting, survey creation and testing, conceptualization and implementation of the project Web site, training of study sites, and analysis, reporting and manuscript writing.
